BrickFest was a fan run convention, which was orignallyly held yearly in the late northern summer. The first was held in 2000. Until 2006, all BrickFests had been held on the campus of George Mason University in Arlington, VA.

BrickFestPDX was a second event for held in February of that year in Portland, OR (PDX is the airport code for Portland). BrickFest 2007 was held at the Oregon Convention Centre in March/April 2007.

The lead organiser for BrickFest for many years was Christina Hitchcock, but was taken over in 2006 by Joe Meno, and by a committee in subsequent years.
