Talk:Six-wide vs eight-wide

8 wide pros are generally 6 wide cons, and 6 wide pros are generally 8 wide cons. It's pro that 6 wide uses less pieces than 8 wide - why do we need to also comment that it's a con that 8 wide uses more pieces than 6-wide. We effectively say the same thing twice: I wonder if it wouldn't be better to rewrite the article in terms of the advantages each offers? I think it would be easier for readers to follow (I'll do it, if no one objects). Claude Bombarde 22:19, 18 June 2008 (EDT)

Is Joke the right term?

"There is a long running debate (mostly a joke)..." at one level there is a debate, and it's somewhat like a joke, but I wonder if 'Community Meme' would be a more fitting term? Claude Bombarde 19:31, 23 May 2012 (CDT)

I think it is a joke in the context of running jokes. Not sure if I see a difference b/w a "running joke" and a "community meme" for what that is worth. Tedward 23:31, 23 May 2012 (CDT)
