Neutral point of view

Neutral point of view (NPOV) is the default tone which should be used for BrickWiki articles. Content should represent issues and ideas fairly, proportionately, and, as far as possible, without bias.

Promotion of Personal Projects/Products

NPOV is particularly problematical in realation to an author's own projects or products. A seller may wish to see their blog listed for example. This not prohibited (we are a small community and frankly we need contributors). We do however, ask that if you contribute or edit an article to which you are financially or emotionally attached you accept that descriptions like best product in the world or most popular thing ever will probably be edited quickly - unless you can back up the claims with third-party evidence.

Disputes

If you see an article that is clearly biased (does not matter if that is a negative or positive bias) you can flag it by using the Template:NPOV which will make a note on the article and add it to the Category:NPOV disputes.
