Skeleton

Skeletons were introduced in Pirate sets to represent skeletal remains of minifigs.

Castle faction

The Skeletons are also a castle faction introduced in 2007 in the Fantasy Era subtheme. They are led by an unnamed evil wizard who has animated skeletal warriors. They are the adversaries of the Crown Knights and Dwarves, and are allied with the Trolls.

This version of the skeleton introduced a newer, more poseable skeleton element design, with rods connecting the arms rather than loose ball joints. The skeletons also featured a newer skull printing (with glowing eyes) rather than the previous skull head designs.
